Progres Niederkorn kept alive their hopes of reaching the Europa League playoff round by grabbing a vital away goal against UFA.

The winner of this match will face the winners of Rangers vs Maribor in the next round and the tie hangs in the balance after the first leg in Russia ended 2-1 to the home side.

Progres put Rangers out of the tournament last season and have shocked Honved and Gabala to reach the third round of the competition this time around.

And they have a big chance of reaching the playoff round after grabbing a goal to take back to Luxembourg.

Olivier Thill tackles Daniel Candeias during last season's clash

UFA took a 2-0 lead through Sylvester Igboun and Ivan Oblyakov and looked to have one foot in the next round.

But an 80th-minute goal by Olivier Thill, brother of Rangers conquerer Sebastian, got the Luxembourg outfit back in the tie.

The second leg of the game takes place next Thursday, with a 6pm kick-off.
