Turkmenistan has planned to allocate 760,000 hectares of land for sowing winter crops and harvest 1.6 million tons of grain in 2019, the Turkmen government said in a message.
The relevant decree was signed by the President of the country Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow.
At the end of June 2018 it was reported that this year more than a million ton of wheat has been received at procurement stations. The work involved 1,700 John Deere and CLAAS combine harvesters.
Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations had previously awarded Turkmenistan for the achievements in the field of ensuring food security.
