The parents of a missing Middleton graduate said they arrived back in the United States Aug. 10 after a week looking for their son in Slovenia.

Jonathan Luskin, 25, was last seen the morning of June 23 at a hostel and his parents last saw him June 22 before continuing his trip on his own in Europe.

In an email to NBC15, Allan and Susan, Jon's parents, said they met daily with the lead investigator and her team at the Ljubljana Police. They met with the administrative team at the National Forest and the manager of the "overnight" huts/dormitories in the National Park.

Jonathan's parents also were in daily contact with the US Embassy and met for more than two hours with the FBI Legal Attaches who direct the adjunct investigation and assist the Slovenian police from their office in Vienna.

Allan and Susan placed fliers in snack shops and overnight quarters throughout the park.

They reached out to people using public and private church media with multiple interviews, according to the email.

"It seems certain that we have saturated the Slovenian population and virtually all of the 2 million people are aware of Jon’s loss and the search," Jonathan's parents wrote in an email.

There are also no signs of activity on Jonathan's bank account or credit/debit card, and no one remembers seeing Jon after he left the hostel the morning of June 23.

"We are devastated and running out of clues," his parents wrote in the email.

"We came away with enormous respect for the professionals searching for him, heartened by their caring and the personal interest everyone there is taking in this. The humanity we have felt there is heart-warming, at the same time we are heartbroken at the lack of answers and our concern, increasing by the day, that Jon is no longer with us," his parents wrote in the email.

Jonathan is a Middleton High School graduate and was traveling on a family vacation in Europe. Stone said the two parted ways and Jonathan continued his travels on a train to Slovenia, where he planned to hike Triglav National Park.

His parents feared he may have entered the national park, and never came out.
